Software boom in India

Here is an interesting article about Software boom in India. The silicon valley is now shifted to Banglore. How come a city became global silicon valley so soon? Some of the interesting facts I came to know from the article is that India will be short of 500,000 software professionals in year 2010. Infosysis hired 10000 software developers last year. The salary of a software engineer is rising on an average 10% to 15% an year. India has shortage of 3-5 yrs experience engineers. Microsoft research center is hiring nearly 60 researchers in this year. Many more interesting things in this article.
